Every year, several exciting kitesurfing events take place in Germany. The 2025 season promises to be another exciting year for kitesurfing, with a variety of competitions, festivals, and testivals. Here's a brief overview of our favorite kitesurfing events taking place this summer.

California Kitesurf Masters

• Date: August 20-24, 2025
• Location: St. Peter-Ording
• Kite spot: Ordinger Strand

The Kitesurf Masters is the official German kitesurfing championship series. The series consists of several tour stops on the North and Baltic Seas, where Germany's best kitesurfers compete for the title. The final stop in this series will take place in St. Peter Ording in 2024 and, in addition to exciting competitions, offers a diverse supporting program for visitors: a testival, an exhibition of top kite brands, and much more.

Kitesurf World Cup Sylt

Kitesurfing, fun, and action on Germany's largest North Sea island – the Kitesurf World Cup on Sylt is one of the most famous kitesurfing events in the world. This event attracts the world's best kitesurfers and offers spectacular competitions in the wave and strapless freestyle disciplines. With its ideal wind and water conditions, the island of Sylt provides the perfect backdrop for this top-class event. You can also look forward to a diverse supporting program, culinary delights, and the opportunity to test the latest kitesurfing equipment free of charge on the Brandenburg beach.

Kite Festival Fehmarn

• Kite spot: Grüner Brink

The Kite Festival on the island of Fehmarn is also a highlight for kitesurfing fans and families. In addition to spectacular competitions, there are numerous workshops where beginners and advanced kitesurfers can improve their skills. A colorful supporting program with yoga, music, food trucks , and children's entertainment makes the festival an experience for all ages.
